About Destinie

Hailing from Nigerian and Indian roots, Destinie Adelakun is a

New York City based visual artist.

Initially starting her journey at University of Toronto as an Architecture Major

Destinie, was pulled into the world of Fashion Styling where she received her degree in Advance Fashion Styling at London College of Fashion.

Whilst working in Fashion, Destinie came back to her first love which is painting and the fine arts.

Later she picked up photography, and became a polymath of mixed media. Her work is focused on the infusion of her two extreme culture/ upbringing, spiritually, mythology, history and identifying the meaning of the black female.

Destinie’s fashion styling has been published in noted magazines such as Love, Hunger and i-D.
