Adé - The crown
Adé is an ode to the legacy of my ancestral roots, this photographic essay features sculptures of crowns made and photographed by Adelakun. The series highlights the crowns of the Orishas (Goddesses). The imagery of women making eye contact with the viewer, displaying an unwavering gaze of confidence, self-awareness, and determination. This example encourages dialogue of self-acceptance. Alongside, this photographic essay displays the depth and diversity of women exploring spirituality and individualism.
