In the Chambers of Omo (uncensored)
The chambers of Omo is a photostory of a woman from the African diaspora finding strength in her vulnerability.
Omo is a child of Oshun, in Afro-spiritual religions like Ifa and Santeria, people who've been fully initiated into the religion refer to themselves as the Omo (child) of one of the Orishas (Deities).
The model photographed is Ina.
“It is in the moments where I am by myself, that I find my strength.
It is in those moments of my sensuality,
I embrace
I empower
I remember and connect with the wombs of my mothers
and my foremothers who came and saw our births and rebirths
It’s for them I remember, I recollect and I re-tell our stories..
the stories of our diaspora”
