Gẹlẹdẹ Queens – Art Zine

Gẹlẹdẹ Queens – Art Zine
Gẹlẹdẹ Queens is an act of reclamation. It reflects my journey back home to reconnect with my Yoruba heritage, and it shares my perspective as a daughter of the diaspora — understanding West African mythology and culture through a lens shaped by migration, return, and spiritual memory.
In this self-published art zine, I bring together photographs, essays, and research on Yoruba cosmology, matriarchal power, and diasporic storytelling. Every page weaves together image and text to show how the Gẹlẹdẹ masquerade is a space for politics, myth, reverence, and resistance.
When you pre-order, you’re directly supporting my work as an independent artist and participating in the preservation of diasporic memory.
